In Brief
Freising is located at the railway from Munich to Landshut and furtheron to Regensburg. It also is the final station of the Munich Rapid Train System ("S-Bahn").

- Travel time by train from Munich Central Station 27 minutes.
Attention: The tariff system is quite complicated. There is an information counter in the center of the main hall in Munich Central Station as there are smaller ticket booths. Please ask here for information on tickets and connections.
By S-Bahn (S1)
Board the "S 1" (blue route) to "Freising/Flughafen". The train serves all stops to Freising. Attention: The train separates at "Neufahrn". The first part of the train continues to Freising, the last part(s) of the train to Munich Airport. Please board the front part of the train right away. Freising is the final station of the S-Bahn.
Tickets: The single ticket fare ("Einzelfahrkarte") from Central Munich to Freising ("3 tariff zones") is 6.60 Euros. You can also buy a stripe ticket for 11.00 Euros. It contains 10 stripes of which you stamp 6 stripes for the one way trip to Freising. Or you buy a day ticket for 10,00 Euro which enables you to travel back and forth for a whole day (prices valid from April 1, 2009).

By Train
The trains leave at "München Hauptbahnhof" (Munich Central Station) and continues without stops to Freising.
Tickets: The S-Bahn-Ticket (see above) is also valid for regular trains. Attention: With destination Freising you have to buy your ticket before boarding the train!
